City Councillors are planning to ban spikes outside buildings which stop homeless people from taking shelter.
It’s after they were placed in the windows of a Department of Social Protection office on Amien's Street.
Councillor Michael O’Brien has asked for their decision to move forward
Last week Director of Inner City Helping the Homeless , Anthony Flynn, spoke on the issue stating that they do not condemn the action.
He said: "This is the most unsympathetic way of dealing with the homeless crisis.'
"The department has shown a real lack of consideration and sympathy.
