A friend of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe says he hopes those responsible for his murder are brought to justice soon.
No arrests have yet been made in the investigation into his shooting by an armed gang outside Lordship Credit Union in County Louth on January 25th 2013.
Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan is due to appeal for information once again this afternoon.
