Fraudster Breifne O'Brien has been jailed for 7 years for stealing millions of euro from his friends and associates during the boom.
The 52 year old from Cork but living in Monkstown Grove in Dublin deceived and stole from 5 individuals who lost a total of 8.5 million euro between 2003 and 2008.
Detective Sergeant Martin Griffin gave evidence only 420 thousand euro has been recouped and not 2 million as Dublin Circuit Criminal Court erroneously heard on the last occasion.
