Four people were rescued from a sinking boat off Ireland’s Eye yesterday afternoon.
The Howth RNLI crew launched a lifeboat just after midday following a call from a member of the public who saw the boat taking on water.
The three adults and young girl onboard the submerged boat managed to climb onto nearby rocks and the crew then transferred them safely to shore.
Elsewhere a post mortem is due on the body of a boy who drowned in a reservoir in Drogheda yesterday.
