Four people have died in separate crashes across the country, in Mayo, Meath and Tyrone.
In Meath, a man was fatally injured when he was struck by a car on the N2 at about half past one this morning.
Meanwhile, a man has been arrested in Tyrone, after a fatal crash between a lorry and a van in Strabane.
And elsewhere in Tyrone, a woman in her fifties was killed in a single vehicle crash in Cookstown at around 2.30am.
In Mayo, a man in his 30s was killed after the car he was driving hit a fence in Castlebar at about half past seven last night.
