There's more travel chaos on the cards for commuters next month.

SIPTU drivers at Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann are to strike for 4 days over two weekends.

At a SIPTU committee meeting today, drivers decided to strike on Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd of May - the bank holiday weekend and - again two weeks after that on the 15th and 16th.

The unions says it is are downing tools because Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann management's refusal to discuss their concerns over plans to sell one in ten routes to private companies.

Last week NBRU staff voted for a work stoppage between 11 - 1pm on the 1st of May.

This latest announcement will add further chaos to peoples travel plans on an already busy weekend.
