Focus Ireland Says Basic Needs Are A Debased Currency

The woman who set up Focus Ireland has said that attempts to regulate the rental sector have been a "complete failure".

Sister Stanislaus Kennedy says there are "glaring gaps" in policy, and that the Environment Minister’s promise to bring in "rent certainty" is long overdue:

"We've allowed people's basic requirement, a place they can call a home, a place they can live with dignity, a place they can rear their families. We've allowed that to become a debased currency. We've played the market with people's basic human needs and this is nothing short of indecent."
