The first plane full of children from Chernobyl is due to arrive in Shannon this morning.
The children who come from impoverished backgrounds, institutions and foster homes, will be hosted by Irish families in 17 counties in Ireland.
It's part of Chernobyl Children Ireland's Summer Rest and Recuperation programme.
Organiser Adi Roche says it's a good time to bring these children to the safety of Ireland
