Members of the European Parliament are expected to pass a resolution today calling for the immediate release of Ibrahim Halawa.
The Firhouse man who turned 20 last weekend has now been behind bars in Egypt since 2013 and this week his trial was postponed for the 10th time.
His case is due to be heard this coming Saturday at a Cairo court.
Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan went to visit Ibrahim last August.
