Only a fifth of people who over-pay for their Dublin Bus tickets claimed back their change last year.
Drivers issue 1 million euro worth receipts in refunds every year, and in 2015 only 200-thousand was reclaimed.
It compares to a third of passengers in 2012, who went to head office on O'Connell Street to get their change.
