The amount of people dead after a plane crash in Sussex is now feared to reach 20.

The Hawker Hunter fell onto the road during a display at the Shoreham Airshow on Saturday.

The plane's pilot is in a medically-induced coma.

A crane has now begun lifting the wreckage from the site.

Aviation safety investigator David Gleave says removing the aircraft is dangerous work:

"You got a rocket seat ready to explode there. So they'll try and isolate that, put the pins back into it. The fuel tanks will be drained, tyres can explode, batteries with acid."

Assistant Chief Constable Steve Barry says work continues at the scene:

"The aircraft should be moved today at some stage, and obviously that means there'll be further parts of the scene that we're able to get to, and unfortunately that does mean it's possible that we will find further fatalities."
