There are fears for up to 2000 jobs at Debenhams after the retail giant's Irish stores were placed into examinership.
The chain has 11 shops in the Republic with four in Dublin in Blackrock, Tallaght Blanchardstown and on Henry St.
The main financial problem for Debenhams is their rent bill, which is reportedly 25 million euro a year.
Debenhams moved to reassure customers and staff that it's business as usual for the moment, as they aim to restructure their Irish operation.
