A new survey has found that we pay 1 thousand euro just to be guests at a wedding or 2 grand if you're a couple.
The research by the online wedding magazine 'onefabday' finds that men spend a bit more, at 1 thousand and 80 euro per marriage, with female guests a little lower at 960.
The biggest cost overall expense was the stag night, averaging at 400 euro.
A typical wedding gift will cost 250 euro per couple, with single people getting stung for around 150 euro.
It also found that country people are more generous than city folk, with people forking out more at rural ceremonies.
Both men and women spend around 250 euro on their outfit.
