An e-scooter rental company met with government officials today to try to convince them to legalize the devices in Ireland.
Lime operates a pay-as-you-go system for e-scooters in over 100 cities around the world.
Despite being illegal, e-scooters are a regular sight around Dublin City Centre.
A spokesperson for Lime, Alan Clarke said that with good regulation you can control that some scooters must have certain safety features.
As of now the use of E-scooters is unregulated.
