People who hail from Munster and Dublin are the best tippers in Ireland according to a new survey.
In research compiled by Amárach Research and AA Hospitality Services 1,000 people were asked about their tipping etiquette in restaurants, pubs and hairdressers.
Munster and Dublin residents were found to be the most generous tippers in two of the five categories while people in Connaught and Ulster the worst.
Meanwhile, the under 25's are the biggest tippers in a pub environment and 43 per-cent of people leave a tip in restaurants
