40,000 people are expected in the city this afternoon with the streets adorned with the rainbow flag. This year's Pride Parade is set to be the biggest yet.

The Grand Marshall of this year's Pride Parade in Dublin says that people should march in solidarity with the millions of Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender people who are still living in shame and fear.

Meanwhile, the Irish National Teachers Organisation is among the many groups showing their support.
Chairperson Anne Marie Lillis says it's an important day for Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual and Transgender teachers.
The parade starts assembling from 12pm at the Garden of Remembrance with march expected to begin at approx. 1:45pm.
From the Garden of Remembrance at Parnell Square East, the parade will proceed down O'Connell St along the North Quays, across Butt Bridge onto the South Quays, along Lombard St and Westland Row and then conclude at Merrion Square.
Expect delays around the City as a result. Rolling road closures will be in place throughout the day.
