Dublin's new Lord Mayor says he wants to promote a positive and inclusive message for the city.
Independent Councillor Nial Ring was elected at a meeting of the city council last night.
He told councillors he was looking forward to welcoming high profile visitors like the Pope, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He's also expecting a visit from Sam Maguire.
Nial also wants lands used for public housing and for Dublin to get its fair share of funding.
