Now that’s a hat trick worth celebrating! Dublin hotspot Little Pyg has once again taken the crown as Ireland’s best pizzeria – and for the third year in a row, no less!

The city-centre favourite, tucked away in the stylish Powerscourt Townhouse, is flying the flag high after nabbing the #16 spot at the 2025 Pizza Europa Awards in Madrid.

Little Pyg is still the only Irish name on the list, and it’s held that title for three straight years – a serious slice of recognition in the pizza world. With head chef Federico Rapali behind the dough, it's no surprise. Known as one of the best pizzaiolos around, Federico and the team have been cooking up some serious magic – including their showstopper, the Margherita 2.0, which blends red and yellow datterini and piccadilly tomatoes with garlic and oregano for a dreamy, slow-cooked twist on the classic.

Owner Paul McGlade Jnr was buzzing after the win, saying: “We’re so proud of Federico and the whole crew at Little Pyg. Their hard work and passion is what earned us this amazing honour.”

And it’s not stopping there – the Little Pyg crew are now gearing up to compete at the World Pizza Championships in Naples this September. Safe to say, they're bringing serious heat – and not just in the oven!
