Ireland's First Baby Of The Decade Born At Rotunda

Dublin's first baby of 2020 was born 12 minutes after midnight.

Her mother, Patience Setuke delivered the girl in the Rotunda Hospital and she weighed just over 7lbs.

No child has been delivered in the Coombe Hospital since midnight struck last night.

Another girl was born in Cork University Maternity Hospital at 22 minutes past midnight.

Children were also born before 1 o'clock this morning in Galway, Waterford and Tipperary.
