The Dublin South West By-Election gets underway today.
It's to fill the Dail seat left vacant by Fine Gael's Brian Hayes who joined the European parliament.
Voters will choose who they want to represent them in the Dail.
There are eleven candidates hoping to take the seat left vacant by former Fine Gael Junior Minister Brian Hayes.
They include reps for Fine Gael, Labour, Fianna Fail, the Green Party, the Socialist Party and Independents.
However with issues like water charges being foremost on voters' minds, the government candidates are not expected to fair very well, and Sinn Fein's candidate is the current bookies' favourite.
