Dublin Men Jailed For Dealing Drugs Online

Two Dublin men have been jailed for their part in an online operation described as the ‘’modern era in drug dealing’’.

34 year olds Neil Mannion from Mount Drummound Avenue in Harold’s Cross and Richard O’Connor from Clonkseagh Road in Clonskeagh both pleaded guilty.

In November last year gardai raided a business centre on the South Circular Road where they found around 143 thousand euro worth of LSD, cannabis and amphetamines. The court heard Mannion was operating on the Dark Net.

Judge Martin Nolan and selling drugs around the world while O’Connor had a secondary role in the enterprise.
In sentencing them this afternoon , the Judge said it appeared Mannnion was the brains behind the operation while O’Connor’s role was to package and post the drugs.

He sentenced Mannion to six and a half years in jail and O’Connor to three. As he was being led away Richard O’Connor mouthed at his family ‘I’m ok’.
