A court has heard how two Dublin men were caught sending child porn to each other when one of them accidentally sent an image to the wrong person.
Kevin Bowes of Markievicz House, Townsend Street and Kenneth Powell of Bessborough Avenue, North Strand will be sentenced later this month.
In March 2011, three phones were seized from Kevin Bowes home - the contents of which led Gardai to his co-accused Kenneth Powell (47).
They raided his flat after a woman, whom Bowes had accidentally sent a picture of a naked 12-year-old girl to, reported him to Gardai.
Afterwards, Bowes (60) threatened to slit her throat if she didn’t drop the charges.
Both men were found with a total of 92 images depicting children having sex with each other and with adults.
The boys and girls were aged between 10 and 17.
Gardai also found thousands of obscene texts sent between Bowes and a man named as "Kinky Ken" or "Master Ken".
Separately, Powell also admitted making obscene comments during a phone call with a volunteer at a children's charity on Valentine's Day 2011.
Both men are due to be sentenced later this month.
