The High Court has ordered that a Dublin man, described as the largest facilitator of child porn in the world, be extradited to the United States.
30 year old Eric Eoin Marquez from Mountjoy Square is wanted by the FBI.
It’s alleged that Eric Eoin Marquez is the owner of an anonymous hosting site and is wanted by US authorities to faces charges relating to the distribution and advertising of child pornography.
The images have been described by an FBI agent as being extremely violent. If convicted, it could result in a jail sentence of 100 years.
The 30 year old, who has dual Irish and US citizenship, has been diagnosed with Asbergers. A High Court judge has ordered that Eric Eoin Marquez be extradited to the US saying this wouldn’t violate his human rights.
His barrister immediately said they would appeal.
