Dublin City Councillors are set to vote for a property tax cut of 15 percent next year.
A special meeting will take place this evening to decide the level households will have to pay next year.
As one of the largest local authorities in the country, its thought Dublin City Council can afford to cut the property tax rate by 15 percent due to the number of people living in the area.
Its expected that the majority of councillors will vote to cut the tax by the full amount, despite a warning by Dublin City Management to cut it by just 5 percent as its concerned about the uncertainty surrounding State funding.
