Sallynoggin locals are "very disturbed" that they might lose their direct bus route to the city centre and St Vincent's Hospital.
Dublin Bus and the National Transport Authority are proposing major changes to bus routes in the area.
The elderly and disabled people in the community will struggle to get to St. Vincent's Hospital without a direct bus route serving them.
The people of Sallynoggin don't want these changes to come into effect and there will be a public meeting tonight to discuss the issue.
Councillor Melisa Halpin says this is an "utterly unacceptable change" and wants the issue resolved for the people of the community.
"The solution is not to change it. I mean the only reason that Dublin Bus and the National Transport Authority seem to want to change this is to save money, but a public transport system is not about saving money. It should never be about saving money. It should be about serving the entire community."
