Dublin Bus fares go up from today.
A standard adult cash fare is up by anything from 15 cent for a three stage journey to 25 cent for a journey over 13 states.
A child's fare for 1 to 7 stages has risen from 1.10 to 1.15.
The National Transport Authority announced the new pricing system in October leaving cash paying passengers bearing the brunt of the rise.
The NTA said the increases were necessary due to government cuts in funding, falling passenger numbers and higher fuel costs.
It's advising passengers to get a leap card to avail of cheaper fares.
