350 million euro is to be pumped into Dublin Airport.

The European Investment Bank is signing off on the 20-year loan to the DAA in Luxembourg today.

It'll fund several improvements at the airport, including an upgrade of the two existing runways.

The Taoiseach says this investment will improve the airport experience for passengers by reducing delays, improving security and by electrifying the airport's car fleet.

There'll be an upgrade to the baggage screening systems and extra self-service check-in kiosks.

The long-term financing will be used to improve operations at peak times.
