A Dublin Senator is backing calls from the Lord Mayor for a special task force to tackle the drugs problem to be set up.
Christy Burke says a cross community and cross departmental approach to ensure there is a co-ordinated policy across the city.
Fianna Fail's Darragh O'Brien agrees and says something needs to be done in response to the escalating drugs crisis which is leading to an increase in homelessness.
