A man has been arrested after a drug seizure on the Navan Road yesterday.
Gardai from the traffic unit at Blanchardstown were on routine patrol when they stopped a 4 x 4 at around 5pm.
Gardai searched the SUV and found almost 9 kilos of cannabis resin worth around 50 thousand euro.
A 34 year old man was arrested and is currently being detained at Finglas garda station where he can be held for up to 7 days.
During a follow up search later that evening at a house at Pimlico in Dublin 8, a small quantity of cannabis worth around 500 euro was found.
