A petition to have Dublin teen Ibrahim Halawa release from jail has been handed in to the Egyptian embassy in Dublin.
It was submitted by the 19 year old's family and supporters this afternoon.
The Firhouse teenager is due in court in Cairo again this Sunday after several delays to a mass trial.
He's been in prison for over 18 months after being arrested in August 2013 for taking part in a protest at a mosque in the Egyptian capital.
He could face the death penalty if found guilty.
