The face of Trevor Deely, who went missing in Dublin almost 20 years ago, is to feature on food delivery bags.

He is expected to be one of a number of missing people that will be part of the Deliveroo campaign.

The Kildare native was 22 when he vanished after his work Christmas party in the city centre in the early hours of December 8th 2000. He was last seen at 4.14am when CCTV captured him walking on Haddington Road.

According to the Irish Times, his photograph will be displayed on the backpacks carried by Deliveroo drivers as part of a renewed appeal about his disappearance.

The company, which has displayed missing persons posters on its backpacks in other countries,  says it would like to run a campaign to help track down Ireland's missing people.

However it says there's currently no agreement in place to do so.

The idea follows milk carton campaigns in the US, where the pictures of missing people were posted on containers.

The search of a site in west Dublin in 2017 in connection with Trevor Deely's disappearance failed to uncover anything new. While a cold case review last year also didn't manage to produce any fresh leads.
