The Taoiseach and Tániste will agree on a date for the General Election today.
They will have their usual pre-cabinet meeting this morning but it may be tomorrow before Enda Kenny goes public with it.
Instead the Taoiseach could give TDs one last day of business, and hold off until tomorrow before travelling to Aras an Uachtarain, to ask for the Dail to be dissolved and the election called. It's also known that President Higgins has no appointments either today or tomorrow.
It's widely believed that the country will go to the polls on Friday the 26th of February.
