Two Dublin men will be sentenced later for a global online operation described as ‘’the modern era in drug dealing.’’
34 year olds Neil Mannion from Mount Drummound Avenue in Harold’s Cross and Richard O’Connor from Clonkseagh Road in Clonskeagh have both pleaded guilty.
In November last year gardai raided a business centre on the South Circular Road where they found around 143 thousand euro worth of LSD, cannnnnabis and amphetamines.
A garda seargeant told the court that Neil Mannion was operating on the Dark Net and selling drugs around the world.
He told gardai he had set it up to try make money and he hadn’t expected to get so many customers.
The court was told his that Richard O’Connor had a very secondary role in the enterprise.
His job was to package and post the drugs and he’d receive around 500 euro a week. The men will be sentenced today.
