There have been 271 new cases of COVID-19 in the Republic today.

Those numbers are subject to change, amid the ongoing impact of the cyberattack targeting the HSE.

The five-day moving average now stands at 381, a significant drop from yesterday's number of 420.

77 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in Irish hospitals, including 27 in intensive care.

Hospital numbers are up compared to the number reported yesterday, when there were just 69 coronavirus patients in hospitals - the lowest number in nearly nine months.
