Coronavirus: 136 New Cases And One Further Death In Republic

There have been 136 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in the Republic today.

There has been one more coronavirus-related death.

Since late February, there have been 27,676 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1,776 deaths.

Of the new cases, 57 are confirmed to be associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of confirmed cases.

11 of the cases have been identified as community transmission.

51 of the new cases are in Dublin, 24 in Kildare, 12 in Kilkenny, 11 in Tipperary, seven in Cork, six in Limerick, six in Wexford and five in Meath.

The remaining 14 cases are across Carlow, Cavan, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Offaly, Roscommon, Waterford and Wicklow.

As of this morning, there were 16 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country's hospitals and six cases in intensive care.
