Consumers Warned Not To Buy Toys Or Lights Without Safety Tests

Consumers are being warned of the dangers of buying electrical Christmas decorations or toys that don't pass safety tests.

Electrical appliances are suspected as the cause of 18 per cent of house fires, and the National Standards Authority is reminding people that only items that have passed EU safety tests will carry a CE mark.
