The new owner of Clerys department store has been accused of being the Grinch who stole Christmas.
Former workers at the iconic Dublin shop say Natrium, who bought the business last summer, has forced ex-staff on to social welfare for the festive season.
Four hundred and 60 people were made redundant in June when Clerys operating firm was liquidated and today the man who acted as the store Santa will be symbolically handed his P45 as part of a protest over the job losses.
