Clery's Customers To Lose Vouchers

SIPTU is calling on the liquidators of Clery's to meet with them.

Concern is mounting about when workers will receive monies owed to them.

KPMG has taken over the store following its shock closure on Friday evening - with the loss of up to 400 jobs, many of whom picketed yesterday.

Some even told reporters they discovered their fate on Facebook.

Meanwhile, customers of Clery's are being told any money they put down in cash deposits or on vouchers has been lost.

The Consumers Association of Ireland says there's no legislation to protect customers in cases like these.
