Met Eireann has withdrawn its severe weather warnings overnight.
Storm Desmond has wreaked havoc across the country this weekend with gael force winds and torrential rain.
Last night members of the defence forces were called in to help local authorities deal with flooding in areas including Cork, Kerry,Westmeath and Donegal.
While the ESB are working to restore power to hundreds of customers left in the dark.
Flights to and from Dublin airports have been affected by the weather with some cancelled and others diverted.
Thousands of passengers were left stranded over the past two days.
However it's hoped the flight schedule will be fully operational once again later this morning.
