Thousand of people are expected at the RDS today for the start of the country's biggest ever 5 day National Craft and Design Fair.
More than €5M in sales is expected to be generated with over 600 stands on display.
Organiser Patrick O'Sullivan says the fair showcases an abundance of crafts and design.
He said its got everything from "Jewellery, knitware, pottery, ceramics, glass, furniture, photography, paintings, I could go on and on and on. But the wonderful thing is that you're meeting the maker, the person who made the product is there to tell you the back story.
He added: "It makes it quite unique, no two pieces are the same, and they make for wonderful Christmas presents as well."
