Travel company TUI's apologised to customers affected by the cancellation of a flight to Lapland this morning.
Families were left disappointed as the flight from Dublin to Rovaniemi was cancelled due to a technical issue.
Some families had travelled long distances and booked the trip of a lifetime for the Christmas visit months in advance.
In a statement, a spokesperson for TUI Ireland and UK says the safety of customers and crew is of paramount importance
They're reassuring customers incidents like this are rare.
The flight was due to leave Dublin Airport at 7.25, but a technical issue lead to a delay and eventually its cancellation.
