SIPTU is calling for fire safety audits to be carried out on properties across the country.
It comes after defects were identified in complexes at Longboat Quay in Dublin and Riverwalk Court in Co Meath.
The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin has already called for a wide-ranging audit.
