The Criminal Assets Bureau has seized the home of a drug dealer in north Dublin.

Seven designer watches and cash were also confiscated as part of the years long investigation.

The house on Killala Road in Cabra was taken from Christopher Waldron after CAB established in court that it had come from the illegal sale and supply of drugs.

The property, that was acquired by Waldron in 2013, was taken possession of yesterday morning and will now be sold by private treaty or public auction.

A quantity surveyor brought in by the bureau estimates over €430,000 was spent refurbishing the house.

Gardaí say the funds used to build the extension and renovate the property are "determined to have derived from the criminal conduct of Christopher Waldron".

CAB also seized seven designer watches, including Rolex's, which were sold at auction in December for over €70,000.
