B*Witched Internet Searches Spike Ahead Of Paddy's Day

As St Patrick's Day approaches, you'd be forgiven for thinking U2, Westlife or The Cranberries would be the top aural choices for fans of Irish music around the world.

However YouTube is anticipating a spike in searches for one particular group.

90s girl band B*Witched appears to be one of the most popular searches, with the video sharing site saying they saw a 196 percent spike in views on the 17th of March last year.

They've become a global hit on the site as a result, earning 13 point 8 million views in the US, 9 and a half million in the UK and 8 million in Brazil.
