Disgraced businessman Breifne O'Brien is to be sentenced today for stealing millions from friends and associates through bogus property schemes.
The 52 year old from Cork who is now living on social welfare in Monkstown Grove in Dublin, ripped off close friends and associates to the tune of 8.5 million euro in what was described in court as a classic pyramid scheme.
He is now facing up to ten years in prison, and will be sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court later this morning.
