Bomb Scare Shocks Residents In Blanchardstown Housing Estate

A bomb scare in a Blanchardstown housing estate resulted in a number of residents having to evacuate their homes last night.

At around 8:45pm GardaĆ­ were alerted to an incident in the Corduff Grove area.

Earlier, a suspect device was found under a van in the vicinity.

The Army Bomb Disposal Unit were called in later and declared the device non-viable.

Investigations are ongoing.
