The man who founded hot yoga has been ordered to pay more than $6M to a lawyer he sexually harassed.
Bikram Choudhury, who's 69, then sacked the woman for refusing to cover up a rape allegation made against him.
Minakshi Jafa-Bodden was head of legal and international affairs at Mr Choudhury's Los Angeles yoga school from 2011 until 2013.
She told a court in LA that she was abruptly sacked from for refusing to cover up an investigation into a rape allegation.
A jury in a Los Angeles court ordered Choudhury to pay Jafa-Bodden nearly $6.5m in punitive damages, while also awarding her nearly $1m in compensation.
Choudhury's Bikram yoga is now taught at more than 650 studios around the world. The 90-minute classes, which include series of 26 postures, are all taught in rooms heated to 40.5C.
