A mural which has appeared on Moore Street, initially thought to be by Banksy, is now not thought to be by the elusive artist.
The work was painted onto hoarding outside four buildings, which the government has controversially been trying to carry out works on.
The plan is to create a commemoration centre ahead of the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising, but some groups claim the works being carried out will damage the historical buildings.
Until a protest stopped works earlier this month, it had been claimed some of the buildings would be preserved and restored, while others would be demolished.
Sinn Féin Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald said "The disdain with which the Government holds the legacy of 1916 has been all too apparent ever since they launched their anaemic plan for the official commemorations."
"And now they seek to demolish the Battlefield site of Moore St Terrace to build a shopping centre that nobody wants; they seek to pave over the streets of history. I call on all who will not stand idly by while the legacy of 1916 is torn down brick by brick."
The Save Moore Street group will hold a march on Saturday 30th January, leaving from Liberty Hall at 1PM.
