A woman who was repeatedly raped from the age of 11 at her Galway home, by her mother's partner, has welcomed his ten year jail sentence.
Majella Cahill bravely waived her right to anonymity so her abuser, Dublin man Henry Crowe, could be publically named.
Crowe of Blackditch Road, Ballyfermot pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to five sample charges of rape on dates between 1988 and 1992.
Mr. Justice Paul Carney imposed a 12 year sentence with 2 years suspended.
