Time Magazine has announced the shortlist for its Person of the Year award, and some of those listed have been raising eyebrows.
Those nominated include Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and the leader of ISIS.
It describes Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi as a leader of ISIS who "has inspired followers to both fight in his self-declared caliphate of Iraq and Syria, and also stage attacks in countries like Tunisia and France."
Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, whose homophobic policies have caused outrage, Time says, has "defied Western sanctions over his country’s military activity in Ukraine to play a critical but precarious role in the war on ISIS."
Caitlyn Jenner also makes the shortlist for 2015. Time believes her coming out as a transgender "prompted widespread conversations about gender identity and issues of equality for the LGBT community."
Donald Trump, the U.S. Presidential hopeful who has (among many clangers) admitted he might like to be dating his daughter, has also made Time's list.
